Granite Bay Design worked closely with the Yale University School of Music department to create a series of magazines which struck a visual balance between the classical and the contemporary. The School of Music provided Granite Bay with a large selection of photographs to choose from along with the content for each article to help gauge the visual direction each article would take. Granite Bay would then develop anywhere between one and five different graphic approaches for pages and spreads. After some back and forth, we would gradually assemble the magazine in Adobe InDesign.
