The Hare
The primary reasons that the hare is part of Celtic culture is its possession of speed, physical endurance and fertility.
The hare is also associated with well-being and prosperity. Hares were thought to have connections to the otherworld which earned them great respect. Legend also features the hare as a shapeshifter that could transform into human form.
