The Double Spiral
This design, with no beginning or end, is the Celtic symbol for eternity. Imbued in the meaning is the endless cycle: we are born; we live; we die.
Like most Celtic symbols, there are other meanings to this symbol. It can signify personal evolution, any sort of change, spiritual or worldly. It can also symbolize duality of everything: nature, life, death, the eternal balance, opposites and how they complement each other, feminine/masculine, sun/moon, light/dark and day/night. It is also thought thought that this symbol represented the equinoxes, in which day and night have the same duration.
CELTIC SAYINGS
It is a bad wind that does not blow (bring good) to somebody.
