The Quaternary Celtic Knot
There are at least a few versions of the meaning of this symbol. One version has it representing the four elements: earth, air, fire and water.
Another version has it representing the four paths that one can choose: physical, emotional, intellectual or spiritual. Like several other symbols, it is also a sign of infinity, with no beginning or end. The symbol is a reminder that our lives are cyclical as everything changes, often evolving away from where it started.
